Our Rivers
Pere Marquette River
A designated National Wild and Scenic River, the Pere Marquette is the crown jewel of
Michigan fly fishing. As the first river to see the King Salmon run in August, it offers a
head start on the season. Because there are no dams, the PM is home to a 100% wild run
of Steelhead and Salmon.
Why fish it: Unmatched scenery and “Flies Only” water for the purist.
Big Manistee River
The Big Manistee is a big-water powerhouse. Below Tippy Dam, the river stays cold and
productive year-round. It is famous for its massive numbers of Steelhead and heavy
pushes of Coho and King Salmon. Its size allows us to use various techniques, from
centerpinning to heavy streamer tossing.
Why fish it: Reliable water levels and high fish density.
Grand River
The Grand River offers some of the most underrated and productive Steelhead fishing in
the state. With one of the strongest runs in Michigan, the Grand provides deep runs and
wide gravel bars perfect for drifting floats. It’s a "working man’s" river where the fish are
big and the pressure is often lower than the northern streams.
Why fish it: Massive runs of migratory fish and excellent accessibility.
